Barcelona is on the verge of securing a major addition to their squad with Dani Olmo poised to make a return to Camp Nou. The Catalan giants have reached a verbal agreement with RB Leipzig for the transfer of the Spanish international, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
The deal is expected to see Barcelona pay Leipzig a transfer fee of €55 million, with an additional €7 million in potential add-ons, bringing the total value of the transfer to €62 million. This offer surpasses Leipzig’s initial asking price by €2 million. Olmo has agreed to a six-year contract, which will keep him at Barcelona until June 2030.
Olmo, who started his career at Barcelona's famed La Masia academy, has been a standout performer since leaving for Dinamo Zagreb and subsequently RB Leipzig. His return to Barcelona marks a significant moment, especially after his pivotal role in Spain’s Euro 2024 victory.
The final step of the transfer process is the official announcement, which is expected soon. With the agreement now in place, Barcelona fans can look forward to welcoming back one of their promising young talents who has matured into a world-class player
