Liverpool FC has been crowned the most-watched club in the Premier League for the 2023-24 season, according to new data from Nielsen. The Reds amassed a staggering global audience of 471 million viewers across all 38 league matches.
This milestone reflects a broader increase in Premier League viewership, which has grown by 7% year-on-year. Notably, Liverpool saw significant international growth, with viewership surging by 373% in China and 42% in the USA. A record live audience of 2.28 million tuned in for Liverpool's clash with Arsenal in December 2023.
Liverpool's pre-season tour in the USA also set new records, drawing the largest crowds ever for football in both Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field (69,879) and South Carolina's Williams-Brice Stadium (77,559).
In addition to their viewership success, Liverpool was also the most-engaged Premier League club, generating over 1.5 billion fan interactions and leading in social media views with 11.9 billion. The club has reached another milestone by becoming the first Premier League team to surpass 10 million YouTube subscribers, earning a Diamond Play Button.
